What should I get my boyfriend for Christmas? My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost a year now and I am having some trouble deciding what to get him for Christmas. He is very much into music and he love to play the drums and guitar. I was thinking maybe a guitar strap or some customized guitar picks but I'm not sure. I was also thinking about cologne or moccasins slippers but I just do not have a clue at this point. Can anyone give me some unique ideas?
How to dress like a cougar grandparent? Tomorrow starts homecoming week at my school and the first themed day is "Grandparent Day". Everyone is going to do the predictable bathrobe and slippers or high waisted pants and tucked in shirt. However, I want to dress like a cougar grandma to be unique. What specific things should I wear? Any props? What with my hair? (i have long blonde straight hair). I also need to make sure it is all school appropriate, I go to a catholic school. Thanks!
Do you have to be punk or goth to wear fishingnet stockings? Say you're preppy and you wear a floral blouse and a pink denim skirt and matching chinese slippers! Would fishingnet stockings ruin it and make it look victorian goth instead of just plain girly! I'm not prep i just asked this question because women find them elegent and i think they're punk like me and i'm not sure which style it falls under and please don't say 'eclectic' because it's so predictable it's annoying. I really want to look unique while looking glam and sweet.

What is your most unique and strange to others habit, and how did it develop{if you know}? I'll start. I have a cat, she is almost feral, all she wants in life is to know that she is free to leave the house whenever she wants. I was in prison for many years, I too feel the same way, I leave the windows open 2 of them , no matter the season or temperature, so that my cat can go in or out, i myself Do not turn on the heater, if i am cold, { which is my unique strange habit, I love to be cold. I wear two blankets and slippers. I sleep with fuzzy blankets, with my cat in front of the open window. room temperatures that are higher than 50 degrees causes me to become cranky and unable to sleep. This was caused not by the prison only{ its either too hot or cold and never windy, and lets face it, There are no bars in there, its solid concrete, with itty bitty windows. I must see the trees and I must stay cold. I was homeless most of my life. In summer I use my ac and the windows stay open. There have been times that i want the windows shut but my cat would be very very upset, she must be on a perch with a fuzzy blanket to lie upon and her food and water fresh every day, otherwise her attitude is not so nice. This cat was abused, so was I, we are a great pair! She was my moms cat, Sorry mom, you could not make her happy with all the windows shut tight and the oven on at 200 degrees.{ you'd think she was cooked by now!} BTW it has taken 1 and a half years to get this animal to allow me to pet her with both hands, and she comes to me, and lies with me, I cannot believe it, when I first came here , my mom captured her, I saw what she did, and somehow, i was in tune with her, and was able to care for her needs, even though I myself am limited. I enjoy giving love to this abused and pitiful creature, That is not strange at all, that is love, and what is more, I enjoy her loe for me, she is the most grateful animal, and she drools every time I pet her.She may be spitty but shes my abba key baku, key bakaw I do not know what that means but i will find out. I know it is a real language, for now I assume it is the language of love.
Unique gift ideas for daughters friend - age 8? I always love giving a little different gifts....I have given pajamas with books and slippers and stuff like that (I guess I like themed gifts), or a DVD with popcorn, candy, etc., or one time I gave a bunch of board games, but I am looking for something a little more unique and fun. I want a theme. THe girl likes webkins, religious stories (they go to a christian school), high school musical (sometimes), and she is a normal 8 yr old. Any ideas that is different, etc? THanks!
Suggestions for a unique fairytale-themed wedding...? I'm getting married October next year and want a princess fairytale-themed wedding, but a more grown-up version of it, something more classic and elegant. I'm not partial to a specific fairytale, but want to grab and combine some elements from various fairytales... like instead of table numbers, naming them "Andalasia", "Cair Paravel", etc.. (yeah, I'm a fan of Enchanted & Chronicles of Narnia...also of LOTR... 20th and 21st century fairytales are welcome) I'll be wearing a ball-gown and tiara. The color scheme is blue, silver and white. I have not yet decided on the invitations (no Cinderellas or pumpkin carriages or glass slippers or frogs please), so I'm open to suggestions and links to pictures on this. Also with favors. Attendants' attires? For music, I'm thinking of instrumentals of Disney fairytale love songs for background music (during receiving and dinner maybe).. although I'll walk to Pachelbel's Canon in D (not fairytale one, I know) because I've wanted to have that music for ages. Any music suggestions esp for the social dancing part? What unique entertainment can I provide? I want a little variety to make it interesting... like a ballet, ballroom dance (?), ...what else can you suggest? Any other suggestions down to the tiniest details are welcome. :-) Thanks a lot! Thanks for the nice suggestions and the not-so-constructive criticisms... I meant, someone performing a ballroom dance number for the guests to see and enjoy while they are probably resting from eating much food. When the floor is open for everyone to dance, I'll be having normal, dance-able music, NOT strictly ballroom. And, again, I am NOT having a Cinderella theme. I'm not even having puffed sleeves for me nor for my attendants. By the way, when I said 'unique', I meant 'Can you suggest ways on making it unique?'
What do you think of when you see the word sleep? I'm doing textiles (sewing, designing, using fabric etc) for GCSE and my next project title is Sleep. I have to make something, it could be anything (pyjamas, slippers, a pillow) but I want to do something that will be interesting and unique. ANY ideas will be helpful. Thank you
why am i not allowed to be unique? every time i do something w/o realizing it, that is different than others, my mom freaks at me and asks why can't I be normal?!?!! Like when I don't sleep with a pillow in the summertime, or if I forget to put my other slipper on, or go for a walk barefoot, or if I picked up a book with only three fingers, she would spaz at me for not being normal. Why am I not allowed? what do I do?
Have a bit of a unique problem? Well me and my girlfriend have been going out for 11 months, and it's been a kind of long distance relationship (9 hours away). Well we're seeing each other for the first time (im 16, she's 15, so it's kind of hard to see each other due to school and such). I bought her a necklace and she's giving me her slippers. I have a bit of a foot fetish and she thought it would be a good present for me. Thing is, while I'm there my parents and I are staying at an apartment at nights, and I don't know how I'm going to sneak the slippers into the apartment without them seeing, and I also don't know what I'll say if I get caught with them. They don't know I have this fetish and I don't plan on telling them anytime soon if at all. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks alot in advance.

I feel cold/numbed from knee down when temperature is below 20C, but wife says my knee/foot does not feel cold I am near 60, 5'11", 185lb, seems healthy, no medications. Since 40, I feel more sensitive to cold temperature though my wife said my body feels hot to her. Below 20C, my body goes into a 'cold shock' mode, need to cover up from wind, particularly back of neck and legs. When chilled, all the pits sweat and the skin below knee feel numbed/cold (a pretty intense sensation but not pain), and there is tinkling sensation for wearing shoes, socks, even pants. At this condition, wind can cause really chilly feel, and a chilled neck causes muscle tightness and then a headache follows. When I go to Hawaii, the warmth and wearing slippers and shorts seem to make all symptoms go away. What a paradise, LOL. I have been through medical tests, specialists on hormones, liver, etc. All tests prove normal, and no MDs could find anything wrong. Even herbalists could not cure the symptoms. I am beginning to think I have a unique case. Any miracles out there with some ones who know what this is?
Compound Complex Sentences? PLEase, plEASE read this story, or at least SOME of it.... PLEASE! i'm in need of great help. i know what a compound complex sentence is but i just can't figure out where any are in this story.... PLEASE please PLEASE help me find at least two: Although one pair, both of my slippers were unique in different ways. I admired them so greatly, like a toddler and her beloved blanky. My left foot slipper was black and loosely fit to my foot, all the while completely flexible and comfortable. The right, brown and tightly snug, made it hard to get air, but I knew my feet would always be safe here. Never would I depart from my faithful trekking companions. My slippers were perfect. Due to repeated trials of wearing both shoes to every environment possible, the color of my slippers began fading, fading, fading until they initially proceeded to transform into worn away platforms. I couldn’t believe that my slippers needed such extreme repair. Barefoot, trying to preserve both slippers, I walked over rocky gravel and ridged mountains to a shoe repair store I knew would not fail me. Fearfully, I searched for a store clerk that might have the ability to save my favored shoes. An employee saw my troubled expression and asked, “Hello. What are you searching for?” How could he ask such a felonious question? “Do you have a certain type of new shoe in mind you wish to buy?” he asked. But I loved my trekking companions. I didn’t want to part from them! The persistent clerk, an annoying woodpecker, grabbed a dusty box off the top shelf of his undersized shoe selection and calmly walked back to my spot, acting as if he always had customers who came to him with shoe problems similar to mine. He handed me the small rectangular box and told me to open it. As I opened the container, I saw a new pair of slippers, except, the slippers weren’t new at all; they appeared to be the same style of slippers I was wearing, but weren’t a full pair. Only two left feet lay in the box. I couldn’t understand how they were going to help me repair my broken black and brown slippers. The store clerk told me to take these new… old? slippers and try them on. Before I had time to argue, a sign in the store window flashed from “Open” to “Closed”, seeming as though the store assistant had performed a magic trick, sending both left foot shoes onto each of my individual feet at that precise moment. Awkwardly, I walked on holding my brown right foot slipper in hand; with two left foot slippers enclosed around my confused feet, the journey back home was rough; but I finally reached a familiar destination. I wouldn’t let the idea of throwing away my brown slipper pierce my mind, so I carefully placed my beloved right foot brown slipper on the top shelf of my basement closet. If I ever pleased, I could still come back to it. After repeated trials of wearing both of the new… old? left footed black and brown slippers, to every environment possible; initially proceeding to transform into a light gray and tan color; fading, fading, fading; I flung them off with great force and discovered that my feet had developed small blisters on the bottom of their abused heals. Frantically and horrified, needing to find a solution to my reoccurring problem, I ran. Hiking over rocky gravel and sharp ridged mountains, until again, I came upon the recognizable shoe “repair” store from before. The small sign in the window had just flickered to “Open” as the door mysteriously unlocked and I quickly entered. This time, I didn’t wait for the store assistant’s help. I had to make this choice myself. Walking up and down the small array of shoes sitting silently on the stilled shelves, I looked up, over, in between the boxes for a shoe that was something new. Really, a new shoe. Not a new… old? shoe, but one totally out of the ordinary. A shoe that before, I had told myself I would never find my feet wearing. There. Right in front of me. A pair of new polka dotted high heeled shoes beckoned me with their pink and brown eyes. Like a starving animal, I snatched the absolutely ridiculous looking shoes. Sliding my scarred feet into the two skyscrapers and looking into a mirror amazed me. The heels looked, smelt, and felt like everything I could ever ask for in a shoe. Never did I think that I would try on a pair of polka dotted heels and feel this type of freedom and security. Sometimes one must learn how to forcefully kick off their two left foot shoes. They have to know that they are tired of something and acknowledge that they want a change. At times, we must take a large step, a long journey over rocky gravel and sharp ridged mountains, and then, when all seems impossible anything is possible.

Wedding Present - yes/no? One of my best friends just got married. I was thinking of getting her and her husband Mr. and Mrs. Set of towels, bath robe, slippers, soap, passport holders, lotion dispenser, pillowcases, and mug. I also thought of personalizing a vase and sending it with flowers. I was so excited until my cousin told me that's lame. Any unique suggestions on what I could give as a wedding present?
Christmas Gift/Ideas Idea..? Alright i don't know if there is a forum or site or anything like this already or not but.. People seem to be struggling with gift ideas, so here is the idea. Everyone just post what your asking for for christmas and some things that you have bought people for christmas and post them in a long list. It does not matter how common or unique the item is. Eventually with everybody's posts there will be a long list of very different items hopefully, thats way when someone wants an idea, they can just look through the list and perhaps find a few things they couldnt think of. Alright so ill start, stuff i have asked for, want, am asking for, or have bought. *2 Solobaric Kicker L7s in a Ported Box (2 Subwoofers for a car, if ur thinking of this dont forget in order to use them they will also need a head unit, an amp, and possibly a capacitor) *Alpine Type R Component Set (6.5 inch door speakrs, with a crossover and two mountable tweeters) *Weekly AM/PM Pill Box (going to be used for lifting supplements, haha theres nothing wrong with me) *Silver Figaro Chain Necklace(prob around 80-100$) *Guitar Hero World Tour for PC(not sure if its released yet, but i dont own a console so hopefully..) *Funnel Cake Maker(saw it at bed bath and beyond, call me a fatty but this made my day haha) *30, 80, or 120GB IPOD(zune software sucks, so if your stuck between the two, go for the ipod!.. itunes is much easier and quicker) *2 Gig Memory (Computer) *3.2Ghz CPU (Computer) *Tools (automotive) *Slippers (i got her these soft ones from some place, but there are also slippers called "Happy Feet" i have some of those and they are an awesome gift) *Camera *LG Lotus (phone) *A Snuggie (comfy ;D google it if you dont know what a snuggie is) *Gym Membership (very useful but avg gym memberships are around 30 bucks a month) *Gloves *Jacket *Purse yup, thats all i can think of, but please keep the list going because i need some ideas for this year. haha merry xmas all!
Do you think Lady GaGa will be as famous in 2/3/4 years time? She tries to pass off her outrageousness as art. When it clearly is not. I mean for example, a MEAT DRESS? That is not art, its just disgusting and weird. I admit she gets people talking, but i think its becoming normal, to be different. And in time, she will stand out less. She has said in interviews she never wears sweatpants/slippers on a day off, she always dresses up, which frankly i think is strange, but whatevs. I like her music i'll admit, however I dislike her personality, e.g. she has a personal phone holder so she does not get cancer... I think after a while, probably 2,3 or 4 years, she will be less famous and fade into the background, I mean she's not even that good of a singer live. She is more style than substance I think. And is only designed to gain peoples attention rather than be talented. Finally, she is hardly a fashion icon. Coco Chanel is a fashion icon. GaGa is not, she just dresses to catch attention and distract from her poor live singing (although she sounds good when autotuned). There are plenty more fashionable singers such as Beyonce, Rihanna, VV Brown and Pixie Lott who can all sing amazingly with and without autotuning. I know many people will say 'Lady GaGa created a revolution, is unique' etc. But to be honest, she is not unique or stylish etc, she is just weird. The other singers, like Rihanna, have more awards, ACTUAL fashion sense and style and can sing. Agree or disagree?
What to get dad for Christmas? OK. So I never know what he wants for Christmas. He likes the Philadelphia Eagles. (But he's not a crazy fan) I was thinking about getting him a robe that will match his LL Bean slippers. (He doesn't have one so that's a plus) but he might get one before Christmas.LOL! I don't know so just give me lots of suggestions! Like what are you getting your dad? oh and no more than 20 dollars because I really don't have a lot of money Im only 14..lol ...p.s. unique stuff too because he has a lot of unique things in his house....seriously. :) Thanx SO MUCH!!
What should I get my best friend for Christmas? She is 13 years old, not into video games or any electronics, she is a bit of a tom boy, likes animals and art. So far I got her: A guitar (she really wanted one) Dog supplies for her puppy A pillow pet A nice bath kit from the body shop Christmas pj's with matching slippers a big box of chocolate a journal with key and colorful pens a picture frame with a picture of the 2 of us Any ideas of other unique things I could get her? She is my very best friend so there is no price limit, I can spend as much as needed as long as I can get her something cool and unique that she would have never got before! Thanks! Merry Christmas!! She also loves horses and collects barbies (never plays with them they just sit on a shelf so getting a barbie seems pointless) Oh and also she told me she wants the movie the Grinch stol Christmas so does anyone know where I can buy it in store?? NOT online.
What is this? Weird Frankin Doll? I have a Frankin like doll that i have had for a long time. But i never new what he really was or was from. The doll is all soft and full of cotton except his hands and head are hard. He has pink bunny slippers on and overalls with chains. It has a huge chin and open mouth. What makes it so unique is the way its hair sets like a cylinder type shape comes out of his forehead and black hair sets on top.{like a stump or somthing} When all its electric coponets worked when u squeezed one hand it would make a berping noise and the other hand would make a farting sound. And when you pressed its stomach it would say somthing.
Help to change up my style? hey, i am a little bored with my current style. it doesn't reflect me. i hate totally blending in with everyone, i want to be more unique. To school i normaly wear a hoodie, jeans/ pants, a tee shirt under the hoodie, converse/ flip flops/ slippers and my hair in a bun A little about me: I love old music (The Who, Alice Cooper, Jimi Hendrix, cream, Nirvana, Bon Jovi, Neil Young, Led Zeppelin, etc.) and 80s movies (Footloose, Ferris Bueller's Day Off- have a tee for that!, Say Anything, Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, Breakfast Club... I <3 the BRAT PACK!!!) can you give me tips to change my style to be more different and to reflect my personality?
I feel cold/numbed when temperature is below 20C but sweat badly in all body pits? I am near 60, 5'11", 185lb, seems healthy, no medications.
What do you think of this really short story? The girl walked into the kitchen to make pancakes for her brother and herself. When she was done, she placed one fork on her brother's chocolate syrupy plate, and reached back into the drawer to take out a pair of knife and fork for her plate and one more knife for her brother, but in her haste she fished out two pairs of forks and knives. Since her brother already had a fork she placed the extra fork into the drawer, and that's when the kitchen fairy arrived. "Whomever would be the first to use that fork you've just returned to the drawer, will be the person you're going to have dinner with for the rest of your life." The girl laughed the fairy's words off wryly. It wasn't that she didn't believe her, she did, but she just said, "Ah, it's probably my Dad. He returns home to have dinner alone every night." And she laughed dryly again, thinking there was nothing new in her life now, what should there be later? She didn't mind it, therefore. But later that night, her brother opened the door for a visitor, who came late at night at an unexpected hour. Her mother by that time had woken up from her nap and gone out to welcome him. Her father had also at that time returned home from work. "Have dinner with us," the mom called out and the girl heard her from the flowing drapes of the salon, where it was abandoned and dark and where she knew they wouldn't welcome a casual visit in there. So the girl stayed there, clutching the heavy material of the drapes, her heart beating hard, anxious and astonished, for all she was thinking about was, of course, the fork in the drawer. Sweat beads started to gather upon her forehead as the visitor's heel along with her parents' and brother's house slippers neared her area to go into the kitchen, all chattering gayly, but that didn't muffle out the unique sounding steps of the guy. She'd never seen him before. Or had, perhaps, a long time ago. She decided to step outside the dark and go on to join her family with valor. But as she threw the drapes behind her and stood out erect and ready to storm out the question of Who are you? she retreated before the drapes could swing back into place after being so roughly pushed back. The nerves, the nerves. Then she heard the microwave starting, muffling their conversations, or maybe they'd just slowed down from the heat and the weariness themselves. Her parents weren't big on conversations, and when they held a brisk conversation they could only hold it for so long. But that left the boy to do most of the talking. He had a sharp voice and spoke slowly with a lot of breaks in between, as if he considered each word carefully before letting it out. That caused the girl to enter a little haziness after being unable to keep up with him any longer and reposed on his dulcet speech, and she'd laid down on the floor by then, her back only a bit upright against the nearest black wall. The shadows outside danced from the kitchen's light coming out of the open door, beckoned for her to come out, but she never came out. She never appeared. The night had passed by by the time she woke up from her sleep, and she sat up to find none of those cheery whispers that only come out in the light. The boy was gone and everyone else had gone to sleep. The teenager stepped into the kitchen, she found the pan on which she'd baked her brother's pancakes still placed on the stove, and there were four unclean bowls left in the sink. She felt hungry so she dished up some rice and a spoonful of mashed potato in a remaining bowl she'd taken out of the cupboard, and after heating it she reached for the drawer, slid it open but suddenly paused there on top of the fork she'd remembered, the one she'd lastly left there. The set of forks was complete except for two chocolate syrup covered ones in the sink. Spoons were less. Of course, she thought, remembering the unclean bowls she'd seen earlier in the sink. They had soup. With a smile, she took the fork. "Me," she said and laughed now with the wryness lessening. It was after all an airy laugh. "I'm the person I'm going to have dinner with for the rest of my life." It was that obvious. That simple. She happily went inside to have her fairly heated dinner with a book.

I usually just make her a cute card but it's getting old now that i'm 15 years old lol. Any amount of money is ok with me. My Gramma is into reading, crosswords, puzzles, etc (already has a crosswords books) She likes cooking, pajamas, beauty products, cute stuff. It's easy to just get her like slippers or pajamas or w/e but I just want different ideas. This is important because i've never actually bought her a gift with my own money before so yeah. What is your style type and what is your daily outfit? ***YOU DO NOT HAVE TO READ THE ADDITIONAL DETAILS TO ANSWER THE QUESTION*** hi, lots of people have all different styles, i'mm more of a billion styles all into one, me. maybe a little scene, and preppy, and unique. on a daily basis I might wear a brand-name teeshirt or a nice sweatshirt or pretty and cut shirt, maybe even a low cut sweater or a cute and funny tee. I always wear skinny jeans or brand-name sweats. for shoes I might wear uggs, clogs, converses, ballet flats, or cute and fuzzy ugg slippers. I might wear colorful sillybandz (perfect even for teenagers), a beautiful and big but delicate necklace (huge locket, small little charm with a gem, a heart) and I wear many rings, plus in the summer handmade ankle bracelets, and of course, earrings. I usually straighten my hair, wave my hair, and curl my hair, put it up in a big side ponytail (my natural swirly curls spiral), put a clip in the side, or wear a simple and cute headband, or an updo. makeup is foundation, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, maybe on a good day blush, and then lipgloss. I do not own any white socks, all my socks are very bright and colorful. okay, so, what is your style, please describe. ten points if one stands out.
is this a good love note?(girls)? okay me and my soon to be girlfriend were playing truth or dare and i said dare and she dared me to write her a love note, so i did and im wondering if this is a good one(its my first love note) its kind of long but i would greatly appreciate it if you read and responded When I See Her..... when i see you smile it brings such joy and happiness to my day, so i think how did i live without her in my life. when i see you i wonder. what makes her so... magnificent? so then i start to pick you apart starting with your eyes, so beautiful, so deep of a blue it makes the sea fill with envy, so soft they make the sky wanting, wishing it was the same of brilliant of blues. your cheeks, when i see you lean apon it, i wish i were a glove apon that hand, that i might touch that cheek, they glow with the girey passion of a thousand sun. your lips, so soft, so gentle, making me wish i could plant mine on yours, hoping that time would stand still as to give us all the time we need to show our affection for eachother, we would have no worldly cares only for eachother and how we might show our passion for eachother next. your nose, so delicate and soft, perfectly proportional to the masterpiece that is your shimmering beauty. your arms, silky as if a sheath of silk were placed apon them in such a way they fit better than cinderellas slippers. your hands so velvety that when i hold them i only wish to not let go. your legs, so perfectly sculpted that the great artists of the world would stare in envy, for they could not capture their full beuty. your waist and hips, so magnificently graceful, when you walk by they sway in such a way that always make my head turn. but dont get me wronge i dont think of you has parts and pieces, i look at you as a whole, a beautiful young lady, but more thna that, a gorgeous woman, but still more, the woman of my dreams. and what flaws you may have make you you. just as a painting, every little stroke makes it, but its the flaws that make it what the artist invisioned, a unique masterpiece. when i soo you i wonder how all these parts work together with such harmony that it make you you. when i see you..... -alex b p.s ill write another when i see fit or when i can fully comprehend all of your inner beauty okay thank you for bearing with me so how did you like it? anything i should change? anything i should add? greatly appreciated! best answer too for whoever is most productive on their critisizms she is a writerbut mroe of a romance writer and she asked me to write something along the lines of this and i just typed it with the typos its written on a piece of paper correctly i just cant type that well
Is it weird to not have a themed nursery? If I have a boy or a girl I already have some nursery visions in mind. I want to do a very soft/pale type of green(think olive, but lighter), and for girl some pink drapes and accents, and boy some blue drapes and accents. I really want it to just be peaceful, and clean looking. I plan on getting this really cool white tree decal for the wall behind the crib with either pink or blue little birds. I will hang a couple shelves for pictures, add a cute little lamp on the dresser, and I plan on making my own name letters to go next to the closet on the wall. If it's a girl I might get some pretty butterflies to hang on the wall, or a boy maybe dragonflies. For a girl or a boy I plan on placing a few items that are special..for example, girl(my old ballet slippers maybe hanging from a shelf) Boy- maybe and airplane(his dad is airforce).... Just simple things like that. Do you think this is enough? Will it still look nice? I know some friends who always talk about doing something DIFFERENT with their baby room and want to paint it orange and brown for a girl or a boy..I guess they have me feeling like my baby room won't be unique or something. Haha..pregnancy hormones! Exactly. I mean, it's going to look very babyish..but, that's why I don't want TOO much going on to where I feel bad changing it in a few years. And, I'm very into interior design..its just that some of the stuff one of my friend suggests is just over the top, and when I picture her ideas I just get a headache almost. Lol...I want my baby room to look well thought out and designed, yet not OVER done. It's tacky when it's too much, you know?
IS this a good Halloween Costume? Okay I wanted to know what you think of my halloween costume idea (yes I know its two months away). It will be my first Halloween where I can go out with my sisters and friends to go bar/club hopping downtown in costumes on Halloween. I never got to do it before since I wasn't old enough (have to be 21 to get into the clubs). We are actually celebrating my birthday on Halloween since my sister will no be able to attend my actual birthday. Okay so I am asking for your opinion on my costume idea, and no I dont want to be a disgusting monster, because it is my birthday I do want to look somewhat nice/human. Anyways, I am planning on being a fairy. I just had a mock design made for custom costume from one of the top figure skating agencies. It looks amazing, with swarovski crystals, satin straps and satin back corset with the short mini skirt like a traditional figure skating dress (the dress will sparkle all over). The dress is in a tan/nude color with suttle crystals everywhere. Anyways, I have wings that match the crystals I am wearing and a matching tiara I will be getting from Davids Bridal and I figured I would wear nude colored tights and ballet type shoes/slippers, not those professional curved ones. And to complete the look I was going to have my make-up artist (I did modeling) do my face in an artistic feature to resemble fairy like features (like crystals on the corners of my eyes, etc). Anyways, does that sound cool/somewhat unique? I am glued to looking fantastic and having my costume custom made no matter what it is, because I never fit in store bought ones, even XS dont fit me right because I am only 5'1 and 98 lbs. and honestly I want to look gorgeous, not trashy like most costumes give-off when a girl tries to look attractive on Halloween.
How can I do my own line of a product? where too start I have seen snookis slippers i wanna do a line of my self of something unique for woman and girls... like a charm bracelet.. or girl tops or slippers.. or a hat... or a cell phone bag too add on bra or undies when u go parting u can add when out.. or something.. i have many many ideas
the hospital bag? CALLING ALL MOMMIES!? hello, I am making another one of those timeless "checklists" to hand out to new moms. you know the one that tells you what to pack in the hospital bag? yeah. but I wanted a spin on ours-- lets ask other moms what they snuck in, found super useful, or swore by while in L&D? here's what I've got so far, which are obvious bare nessicities. 1. 2 outfits, a 0-3 mo and 3-6 mo for baby to go home in. 2. a sleeper in of case baby doesn't like the hospital shirts. 3. a stuffed animal to beat up if your partner/coach isn't punching bag material. 3. a baby blanket 4. for breatsfeeders: a sign for baby's hospital crib that says "no bottles!" as well as some nipple cream and a pump if you wish. 5. for formula feeders: an extra bottle and nipple, though most hopsitals provide formula you may want to bring your own. 6. a BAGGY COMFORTABLE set of clothes to leave in; NO SPANDEX AND NO TUBE TOPS TRUST US! XD 7. a bathrobe, pair of slippers, and nightgon if mommy doesn't want to be stuck in scrubs. 8. a pillow or two? some women say this, but that's why I brought a fairly large stuffed animal. what did I sneak in? peppermint sticks [like candy canes but softer], cookies, and mountain dew. I also brought a diskman[ before MP3's were affordable], and a notepad and coloring markers to keep myself busy until labor was intolerable, and to occupy m when I wasn't sleeping. and don't worry, I won't forget a nice big box to check off next to CAR SEAT. XD so, here's a time for us moms to shine and help hundreds of moms all over the nation... what would you bring to the hospital? any good, unique, or funny comments may be reproduced and printed for public use. thanks for all your help! I would say on the diapers, most hospitals provide some. if you prefer a brand[ I like huggies!], bring your own bag... I am taking a huge pack of NB size and a small bag of size 1. as for body washes and hygeine stuffs, thanks for reminding me! but also remember, new moms, to be catious as to what you use. rumor has it using super scented body washes on the breast can throw off a baby and they may not want to feed. my suggestion for that is a simple unscented body wash.
different gifts to get my mom for christmas? (details inside)? she loves to workout. shes reaaallllyy picky about shoes and clothes, its always realllly hard to find shoes/clothes that she likes and will actually wear. we are catholic and i was thinking of something with a cross on it? also i want her to relax so i was thinking of getting her a new soft robe, slippers and maybe like lotions and stuff but i need other small things to get that dont cost a lot too. also maybe unique homemade gifts that i can make? PLEASE dont say make a coupon book for cleaning the house or something ive heard that a million times. she wont give me any specific ideas because she doesnt want me to spend money but I KNOW she will get all mopey if i dont get her anything because my sister isnt getting her aynthing and i dont think my dad is either. i want her to have presents for christmas so i want to get her a lot of little things and not one big expensive one.
I NEED GIFT IDEAS.......? OK WELL THIS CHRISTMAS I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO REALLY GET PEOPLE? I ALWAYS GET MY GRANDMA PERFUME OR SLIPPERS OR JEWELERY BUT NOW THIS YEAR I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO GET HER? THE SAME FOR MY MOM I GET HER THE SAME AND I DONT KNOW WHAT TO GET? DOES ANYONE KNOW ANY UNIQUE OR INTERESTING IDEAS? PLUS I DONT GOT A WHOLE LOT OF MONEY TO SPEND?
Let me run this by you!? I want to do gift baskets for Christmas, because we're just starting out and really low on funds. For my in laws we're going to do a basket including 2 movies ($5 each Wal Mart), popcorn kernels, oils, season shakers, fuzzy slippers for him and her, 2 mugs w/ cocoa packets stuck in them, a warm throw, and some homemade cookies. Same for my mom! For my brother we're all pitching in and getting him a wii and guitar hero (do they make that for wii?) For my husband.... I'm thinking a waterproof watch? What kind of watches can you take w/ you to Iraq? And some massage gadgets from Wal Mart he's had his eyes on! Do you have any other unique gift basket themes I can use?? Thanks!
How do I go about changing my school's dress code rules? I'm aiming to alter the rules about facial piercing and unnatural hair coloring. They claim it's best for "equality of students" and to keep kids from being distracted. In my opinion, if we want to be different, then we should be allowed to be. No matter what you wear, you're never going to have an equal student body. Also, even if you did not have unique hair coloring, the student getting "distracted" would find another thing to be fascinated by. So how do I go about changing these? I was thinking an essay and a petition with at least 200 signatures (my school is new and does not have seniors yet) sent to the school board. What do you think? Oh, and if you can help me figure out what I can do to be different while under the dress code, hair-, piercing-, and clothing-wise. Outer clothing which resembles lounge wear, pajamas, or underwear is prohibited. Fads and styles in dress which differ extremely from conventionally accepted standards are prohibited. Any clothing that is viewed as distracting because of extremes in style, fit, color, pattern, fabric, etc., shall not be permitted. Undergarments may not be exposed at any time. Blouses/shirts which expose any portion of the waist, hips, or midriff are not allowed. Blouses/shirts which are not appropriate for school include those which are low-cut, see-through, backless, or tube tops. Clothing which is cut, slashed or has holes, is prohibited. In accordance with board policy governing student conduct with regard to bullying, weapons, gangs, and drugs: clothing shall be free of inflammatory, suggestive, racial, or other inappropriate writing, advertisement, or artwork. This includes offensive words and designs, violence (blood, death, weapons), sex, playboy symbols, hate groups, tobacco products, drugs, and alcohol. No clothing or other article may be worn or displayed which may indicate membership in a gang at school or any school function. Pants, skirts, and dresses must be knee-length or longer, and must have a hem. Shirts must be tucked in. Nylon wind suits that fit appropriately are permitted. Mesh, nylon, or athletic shorts are not permitted in the classroom. These type shorts may be worn during P.E. classes only. Shoes/sandals must be worn at all times. Cleated shoes are prohibited inside the building. House/bedroom slippers are not acceptable. Male students may not wear earrings; female students may wear earrings. Neither male nor female students may wear ornaments (jewelry) which pierce the skin such as the nose, lips, tongue, eyelid, etc. Students may not wear hats, caps, bandannas, sunglasses, combs, picks, etc., inside the building. Hair must be well groomed. Only conventional hair coloring will be permitted. Extreme hairstyles and fads that would interfere with the learning process, cause a disruption of the educational environment, or be a health or safety hazard are prohibited. Well-groomed mustaches are permitted; goatees and beards are prohibited. Due to variances in physical design of schools, principal's discretion will apply to wearing of outer garments, coats, and jackets. Students may wear coats/winter garments to school, but may be asked to store them in their lockers during the school day. Students are encouraged to bring lightweight jackets to wear in the building as changes in weather dictate.
What would you want for being a bridesmaid? I'm looking for some unique gift ideas for my bridesmaids. What are some neat things you have received for being in a wedding/what do you think would make a great gift? I'm for sure getting the girls a necklace to wear in the ceremony. I am thinking about also putting little baskets together of "pampering" stuff....mani/pedi sets, maybe slippers, compact mirror, bubble bath, gel eye mask...anything else you can think of? Or should I scrap this idea all together?! I'm looking to spend $50-$75 per girl. I appreciate your input :) I found another idea on top of the necklace......a bridesmaid survival kit....this is where I could include all sorts of pampering stuff and stuff they may need up to and after the wedding.
What's the most creative Halloween costume you've ever seen? The most unique one I saw last night (and probably of all time) was this guy dressed in pajamas, a long bath robe, fuzzy slippers, a wool cap, with a flash light. I asked him what he was & he replied "Tired of other people's B.S." Another time I went to a Matrix themed costume party. Of course a majority of the people there were in black leather & sunglasses. 2 people however, showed up dressed as the red pill & blue pill.
